Lag Baomer 5777- don't miss it!

24 Hours in Meron without a moment's letup | All Year, Every Day With Never a Day's Break

Lag Ba'omer will be here soon. Every second is of critical importance. The heavens are open and abundance pours down; whoever merits - merits. Every second that can be used for davening but is not utilized properly – is an everlasting loss. Every second of prayer is a chance to change the reality of one's life.
Maybe our tefillos need just a little increase? Or maybe consecutiveness is what will bring a yeshuah. After all, our holy sources are replete with passages relating to the importance of multiple tefillos and pleading over and over again; how much more this is so on a day of such great import, a day when multitudes of ordinary people like me and you merited miracles in the merit of the G-dly Tanna. How can anyone forgo the opportunity to be prayed for incessantly, without a moment's letup, on this unique day?
On Lag Ba'omer, Kupat Ha'ir's messengers will take turns standing near Rabi Shimon's kever all day long, and each one of them will pray and plead with Hashem, over and over again, that your bakashah be fulfilled. Each shaliach will use his own words and pray in his unique style – but your bakashah will be repeated relentlessly throughout the day at Rabi Shimon's kever.

If you come to Meron on Lag Ba'omer, you will know that somewhere among the masses, your tefillah is soaring heavenward. As you pray, as you dance, as you feel emotion well up inside you – he, your messenger, is standing and praying for you. He is reciting chapter after chapter of Tehillim on your behalf; he is whispering your bakashah over and over again, along with you.
From the moment the day begins, until the moment it ends –all those hours - your tefillah will be heard.

Some people will daven at home; others will make it to the tziyun. But no one can daven 'round-the-clock, without letup. You, who contribute in order to merit this tefillah, will know that Lag Ba'omer of this year is the Lag Ba'omer of your life.

On Lag Ba'omer, among the crowds, there will be a messenger. Your messenger. A messenger who arrived on Lag Ba'omer but who will also be there the next day and the day after that, the following week and the week after that. On Lag Ba'omer, Kupat Ha'ir's messenger will begin a unique journey: a year-long prayer at the tziyun of Rabi Shimon bar Yochai.
"Many" will be in Meron on Lag Ba'omer, but "Many" will then forget Meron until the following Lag Ba'omer, but you, dear Kupat Ha'ir contributor – you and your tefillah will stay there even after everyone else goes home.
For twelve months, you will be mentioned at Rabi Shimon's tziyun. You will be prayed for, wept for; your tefillah will be stubborn. It will ascend heavenward every day anew…

On Lag Ba'omer, your messenger will be there for you. On the 34th day of the Omer, he will be there, too, and on the 35th as well. He'll be there on stormy winter days and on scorching summer days. Even on days that are busy and rushed in all Jewish households – Purim, erev Pesach, Hoshana Rabba, erev Yom Kippur; even on fast days when it's difficult to travel - your premium emissary will make his way to the cave where Rabi Shimon is buried and pray on your behalf.

On many days, the me'arah will be nearly empty and only he will be there, praying for you. The next day, too – every day – you will wake up in the morning and tell yourself: Today, too, a tefillah on my behalf is ascending heavenward in Meron. Today, too, I can remind myself throughout the day "In the merit of Rabi Shimon bar Yochai" – and know that I am truly connected to him, that his merit truly is standing in my good stead.
