THIS SPECIFIC DAY
Kupat Ha'ir's "104 Campaign" does not fall out coincidentally on erev Shavuos. This day has a special power that we learn from the Torah itself…
According to the Alshich HaKadosh, it was on this day that Leah Imeinu conceived Yissachar, the tribe of lomdei Torah. On the same day, erev chag, Reuven searched for and found the dudaim; on that day he picked them and brought them; on that day Leah used them and on that day she conceived. This is the first segulah brought in the Torah.
Only someone who has experienced years of waiting understands the meaning of a day, and another day, and another day. Only such a person understands- but anyone can perform this segulah! It "works" if one contributes on behalf of a relative , friend, or neighbor.
THIS SPECIFIC SUM
This specific sum is according to Toras nistar. We don't understand why it's this specific sum, why one takes 91 prutot (which today is 91 units of the currency of one's country of residence) and from there adds to complete the number 104. But simply because we don't understand doesn't make a difference in our emunah, nor in the results…This segulah has brought yeshuos to so many households.
Each year the Gedolei HaDor perform this segulah with coins that were specially prepared for this purpose, 104 individual shekels prepared by Kupat Ha'ir.
The Gedolei HaDor do not limit the influence of the segulah only to those awaiting children; among the requests received from them are listed other issues as well, such as refuah, success in learning, etc.
THIS SPECIFIC DESTINATION
To a poor and humble Torah scholar…
In its ten plus years of activity, by the nature of things Kupat Ha'ir has access to families (identities are kept top-secret) whose poverty level is hair-raising. They literally cannot put bread on the table, but try to hide it from everyone. Only those closest to them know how deeply they are suffering.
THIS SPECIFIC WAY
Through Kupat Ha'ir. It has proven itself many times over to be a faithful emissary. It's a pipeline from your hands to whoever really is in need, according to the criteria, specifications, and supervision of the Gedolei Hador. It's only a channel, and its goal is to be an absolutely spotless channel, without outside considerations, without politics, without profit, l'shem Shamayim.
